Oscar Antonio Mejia Turcios. 19. SJSU. Soccer. Drums. I guess you could say I think very differently than most people my age.
I had one of the best talks with two of my fraternity brothers just about an hour ago. We got so in depth with our conversation. We talked about family, pain, drama in our lives, our passions, what we want to do, love, our motives and so much more. It’s the conversations like that, that make me love life. And through that conversation it helped me realize, that this semester has been such an enlightening semester for me. Not in the sense that I learned a lot in school, but more about myself. I have had many realizations about myself this semester and I can honestly say joining this fraternity has helped me get to this point. I know about what I want to do in life, what makes me happy, what matters, what my idea of what life is all about, who matters, and list goes on. In the end I really figured out what I believe the purpose in life is,at least in my opinion, and its to find that one person you love and experience life with that person. No one should be lonely. That one person that makes even the worst situations in life, bearable. It feels good to have this confidence in myself now and to be able to know what I believe in. I probably sound like I’m crazy and going through some philosophical, hippie phase in my life, but in all honesty everything feels right. Things aren’t perfect, and they never will be, but it sure as hell feels great right now. Here’s to the ending of a semester and the year, and here’s to starting a new year and semester soon.@3 days ago
